The Lekki Local Council Development Area has reinforced its commitment to improving education standards by organising a capacity-building training for public school teachers, focused on literacy and public speaking skills.

The programme, held at the Council Secretariat, brought together educators from across the LCDA in a deliberate effort to enhance classroom effectiveness through improved communication and instructional delivery.

An invited expert led the training session, engaging participants with practical exercises and strategies aimed at boosting confidence, clarity, and classroom engagement.

A representative of the council highlighted the importance of the programme, stating, “Confident teachers inspire confident learners, and this training is designed to equip our educators with the tools needed to deliver impactful lessons.”

The event witnessed the presence of top council officials, including the Vice Chairman, who also serves as Supervisor for Education, the Head of Department for Education, the Secretary to the Local Government, as well as Supervisors and Special Advisers.

The initiative reflects the broader vision of the Executive Chairman, Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, to invest in human capital development within the education sector.
