NNPCL remits N8.86 trillion to FG within seven months

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) revealed yesterday that it has contributed a total of N8.86 trillion to the Federation Account from January through July 2025.

According to NNPCL, returning to Ogoniland marks an important milestone in Nigeria’s journey. They pointed out that true progress involves more than just increasing oil output; it also means fostering responsible investments and prioritizing community development as a key component of the country’s advancement.

Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC, noted that this initiative highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to the Ogoni re-entry plan and represents a significant step towards achieving justice, fostering reconciliation, and supporting the nation’s growth.

He emphasized that this return reflects Nigeria’s capacity to confront its past, honor the sacrifices of its communities, and build a new, prosperous future centered on justice.

“The re-entry into Ogoniland is not just about oil and gas. It is about justice, healing, and charting a new future for our nation,” Ojulari said, as stated by NNPC spokesperson Andy Odeh.
