The Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission will commence the physical and credential screening exercise for shortlisted applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables from Monday, March 9, 2026.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Oyo State Police Command said the exercise in the state will hold at the Officers’ Mess Eleyele located within the Command Headquarters in Ibadan.

According to the Command, the screening will run from March 9 to April 18, 2026, and applicants are required to appear strictly on the date and time indicated on their invitation slips.
Shortlisted candidates have been advised to log on to the recruitment portal to confirm their status and print the required documents ahead of the exercise.
The Command stated that applicants must present their invitation slip with the assigned table number, screening forms, evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognised medical hospital, National Identification Number printout or NIMC card, O’ Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and a local government or state of origin certificate duly signed by the appropriate authority.

Other required documents include trade test certificates for specialist applicants, duly completed guarantors’ forms, and both original and duplicate copies of credentials neatly arranged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.
Candidates are also required to appear for the screening dressed in white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes and white stockings as prescribed for the exercise.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Femi Haruna, reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and will be conducted with transparency and merit.
He warned applicants to disregard fraudsters or individuals demanding money for assistance in the recruitment process, noting that anyone found engaging in such acts would be arrested and prosecuted.
The Command assured all eligible applicants of a smooth, transparent and credible screening exercise.
