In the Governor’s absence, his Chief of Staff, Mr. Toyin Akinmade Ayinde, conveyed his gratitude and reiterated the state government’s commitment to supporting the Nigerian Army and other security forces to enhance their operational effectiveness, particularly under Operation MESA.

He referred to WASA as a longstanding cultural tradition that dates back to the West African Frontier Force, aimed at fostering unity, camaraderie, and team spirit among military personnel and their families.

Furthermore, the Governor pointed out that the troops of the 81 Division, like their peers across the country, have participated in various operations, training sessions, and internal security tasks. He highlighted that WASA offers a valuable opportunity for the personnel to relax and commemorate their annual achievements with their loved ones.
