Sanwo-Olu assures Lagosians of Security, Orderliness at Polls
In a strong commitment to voters’ safety, Governor Sanwo-Olu revealed that security agencies have been fully mobilised and strategically deployed across all polling units, wards, and localities within the state.
“To ensure a safe, orderly, and credible election, I have directed that security agencies be strategically deployed across all polling units and communities,” he said.
“Law enforcement officials will be present to protect voters, electoral officials, and election materials.”
His reassurance follows recent concerns over electoral violence and ballot snatching, especially after LASIEC warned earlier this week that any disruption, such as ballot box snatching, would trigger immediate by-elections in affected polling units.
