This circular was shared with various officials, including the Head of the Civil Service, the Permanent Secretary of Education, Pro-Chancellors of all federal universities, the Director-General of the Budget Office, the Accountant-General, and the Executive Secretary of the NUC.

The document expressed the Federal Ministry of Education’s discontent with ASUU’s ongoing strike, despite previous appeals for dialogue, and emphasized that the government will no longer tolerate breaches of existing labor laws.

The circular states: “In accordance with the Labour Laws of the Federation, the Federal Government reaffirms its stance on enforcing the ‘No Work, No Pay’ policy for any employee who fails to perform their official duties during the strike.”
