The Chairman of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mayor Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanishile, was officially decorated as the Patron of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ikorodu North LCDA in a ceremony held at the council secretariat.

A Commitment to Youth Development
The decoration came as a recognition of Chairman Apanishile’s consistent support for youth-focused initiatives and his role as a mentor in the community.
During the ceremony, he expressed his deep appreciation for the honor bestowed upon him and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to empowering young people.

“I am truly humbled by this recognition and I accept this role with a great sense of responsibility,” Apanishile stated.

He added, “I want to assure the NYCN leadership and all the youth in Ikorodu North LCDA that I will continue to support them with all they need to succeed in their office. Your success is our success, and your voices are vital to the progress of our community.”
Praise from State Leadership
The formal decoration was performed by the Chairman of the NYCN Lagos State Chapter, Engr. Adigun Olalekan.
He lauded the chairman for his exemplary leadership and urged him to continue his good work for the youth.

“We have seen the commitment of Chairman Apanishile to the development of our youth,” Engr. Adigun remarked.

“This decoration is a testament to his fatherly role and a sign of our profound gratitude. We urge him to do more for the youth body and continue to be a shining example for other leaders to follow,” he added.
A Leader’s role as a Father figure
The NYCN Coordinator for Ikorodu North LCDA, Comrade Jackson A. Adewale, also spoke at the event, expressing his gratitude to the chairman for his consistent guidance and support.
