UNILAG launches Africa’s first university auto assembly plant

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has taken many by surprise with its proactive approach to automotive innovation, by introducing Africa’s first automobile assembly plant set up within a university.

In collaboration with Nord Automobiles, this Lagos facility has been assembling vehicles and drones since it opened on November 10, 2022. It also focuses on training students and advancing Nigeria’s presence in cutting-edge automotive technology.
