Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has promised residents of the Bwari Area Council that the Bwari–Kubra Road project will be completed before the close of 2026.
This commitment was made during Wike’s visit to Bwari on March 3, 2026, where he expressed gratitude to the community for their support in the recent Area Council elections and reaffirmed his dedication to ongoing development under Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

He also recalled a previous town hall meeting with local leaders, where residents presented significant needs to the FCT Administration, which he confirmed had been addressed, highlighting the administration’s responsiveness to public concerns.
The Minister assured residents that only leaders who genuinely understand their issues would be supported for representation. He praised Bwari Area Council’s Chairman-elect, Joshua Ishaku, as a capable leader who would collaborate with the FCT Administration to drive development for the community.
Ishaku thanked Wike for his evident efforts in advancing development across the FCT and promised the council’s support for the administration’s initiatives.
The gathering saw significant attendance from traditional leaders, youth and women groups, and party supporters who came out in large numbers to welcome Wike and his team.
