Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, announced plans to implement artificial intelligence-based security cameras in Jos and throughout Plateau State to enhance security and curb persistent violence.
During a meeting with the Plateau State government, Tijani shared his personal connection to the initiative, reflecting on his time as a student in Jos during the 2001 crisis, when his family suffered losses. βHaving lost properties and friends during that period, it feels like a privilege to serve under your leadership,β he remarked.
