In a message for Eid-el-Kabir released on Tuesday, the President extended his congratulations to Muslims in Nigeria and worldwide, framing the festival as a celebration of “faith, obedience, and the willingness to sacrifice for a greater cause.”

Tinubu encouraged Nigerians to embody “sacrifice, selflessness, unity, and compassion,” emphasizing the significance of the values represented by Prophet Ibrahim in the nation’s rebuilding efforts.
Addressing the country’s ongoing security issues, the President recognized that attacks by terrorists and bandits continue despite the diligence of security forces, including the recent removal of a prominent ISIS leader. “I acknowledge that, despite our security and intelligence agencies’ best efforts, some communities are still facing brutal attacks,” he noted.
He promised that citizens are not overlooked or forgotten, vowing that they will ultimately overcome all forces of evil.

The President also called on Nigerians to pray for peace and wisdom for their leaders during the Sallah festivities. “Let us pray that those who engage in crime may reconsider and forsake their evil actions, or face the full consequences of the law,” Tinubu remarked.
Regarding the economy, he stated that the reforms implemented by his administration over the past three years are starting to yield positive outcomes, declaring, “The journey through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” while asserting that Nigeria is on its way to becoming “a preferred investment destination” that will spur economic growth and job creation.
He concluded his message by wishing Nigerians a peaceful and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
