The triple celebration is scheduled for Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Hon. Ogungbo Beach, Idado Town, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Lagos State.
Celebrating Two Years of Community Impact
Over the past two years, the foundation has earned widespread recognition for its grassroots initiatives aimed at improving access to education and reducing school dropout rates.
Among its notable interventions are the provision of free JAMB tutorials and registration forms to hundreds of students, as well as sustained academic support that has helped many young people secure admission into higher institutions.
The anniversary celebration will also serve as a platform to review achievements and unveil the foundation’s 2026 empowerment roadmap, which includes: Free JAMB tutorials and forms for over 200 students, educational support grants for 20 students, each receiving ₦25,000 and distribution of school uniforms, sandals, socks, and bags to 1,000 primary and secondary school pupils.
Also, Technical skills training for 25 beneficiaries and digital skills training for another 25 participants, empowerment of 15 artisans through capacity building and tools, and Skills acquisition programmes for 20 additional candidates.
These initiatives build on the foundation’s consistent interventions across Ibeju-Lekki and the wider Epe Division, including collaborations with schools and support for student matriculation successes.
Speaking to The Lagos Voice, Hon. Ogungbo explained that the foundation was inspired by his direct experience as Supervisor for Education.

“In my role, I interacted closely with students, teachers, and parents, the three core pillars of education in every local government,” he said.
He revealed that regular observations of school-age children roaming the streets during school hours prompted him to investigate the root causes of absenteeism.
He added, “Some children were playing, others were working, and some were waiting at the beachfront for fishermen. I asked why they were not in school and engaged their parents, teachers, and the education department.”
Upon discovering that the state government’s ‘Bring Back the Students’ policy allowed children to return to school without barriers, Ogungbo took personal responsibility for re-enrolling affected pupils.
He continued, “I provided uniforms, personally escorted them to school, and handled their registration. I’ve been doing this for about five years across Ibeju-Lekki.”

He further noted that many secondary school leavers lacked access to post-school guidance, vocational training, or JAMB preparation, a gap the foundation now actively addresses through structured tutorials and skills programmes.

He added, “Later on, I noticed another challenge. After completing secondary school, many young people did not continuing their education or learning a vocational skill such as tailoring or barbing. Before long, some of the girls ended up pregnant, which was very concerning.
“I began to ask what more could be done to support them. While many public office holders distribute JAMB forms and local government forms, I discovered that there were no tutorial classes to prepare students for JAMB after registration.
